Helping...bereavement jpegFor those working with children aged 5-11, including learning difficulties and where English is a second language.

This book helps children gain emotional literacy to be able to talk about loss and bereavement.

It’s a five-way differentiated story about a turtle, with activities to reinforce learning and was written with the support of Child Bereavement UK who provided material to support the adult delivering it.

marasova final 013Instructions are given to use a shoe box to make the beach where the story takes place.  Young and less able children can physically bury ‘the turtle’ in the sand.
