HERE’S WHAT HAPPENS…

The whole school comes off curriculum. Before I come we work out a time table for the day. Although there's not a lot of preparation, teachers will need to think through what they are doing and collect materials to make buildings and characters.

Children will generate enough ideas for at least 2 days  work - making, talking and working on ideas when I am in school - ready to write the following day.

KS2 have a 45 minute presentation and KS1 a 30 minute presentation in the hall. By the end of this children (and adults) will have lots of ideas about what they will be doing for the rest of the day.

I then take half hour class workshops (see 'workshops' to help you make your choices), preferably in the hall, until 30 minutes before home time when we all meet up again to celebrate what has been achieved.                                                                                                     EG

A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE THIS...

9.45  for primary schools, KS1 in hall OR a workshop if only one key stage in the school

10.15 play time

10.30 workshop

11.00 workshop

11.30 workshop (this might need to be in a classroom if your hall is used for school dinners)

12.00 lunch

1.00 workshop (this might have to be in a classroom if your hall is used for school dinners)

1.30 workshop

2.00 workshop

OPTIONAL - 30 minutes before home time all children in hall to celebrate what has been achieved during the day.

Each class brings 1 piece of work to share. Depending on the size of the school, this is sometimes best left until the following day.
